「禾」+「厶」
「禾」: A hieroglyph. A state an ear of foxtail millet is round, and to hang down flexibly.
「厶」: A state to have a thing only for oneself by an arm.
Someone divides a crop finely and has a thing only for oneself.

私営（si - e i）：privately managed
私語（si - go）：whisper
私服（si - fu ku）：plain clothes
