< MEANING >
chest, heart, thought

< ORIGIN >
「月」+「匈」
月 : meat, body
匈 : The state that surrounded the cavity from the outside.
The part of a body surrounding the cavity ( = a thorax ).

< USE >
胸中 [kyo u - chu u] : feelingsCourage. A chest measurement.
度胸 [do - kyo u] : courage
胸囲 [kyo u - i] : chest measurement

example) 私は胸を撫で下ろしました。[wa ta si - wa - mu ne - wo - na - de - o - ro si ma si ta.] I heaved a sigh of relief.
