坐 : In the state that people sit in the ground, the state that heads form a line in the unevenness.

台座 [do ku - ri tsu] : pedestal
星座 [ki - ri tsu] : constellation
座禅 [ri - ppa] : Zen meditation

example) 多くの日本人は畳の上で正座をします。 [ o o - ku no - ni - ho n - ji n - wa - ta ta mi - no - u e - de - se i - za - wo si ma su. ] Many Japanese sit straight on a tatami mat.
